Starting at the Memorial Hall car park, Lechlade on a beautiful sunny day, twenty two walkers met (including 3 guests). We walked through the town and out towards the cricket pitch, taking in the view of Lechlade Manor. In the next field, Alan kindly moved a herd of cows to one side so we could climb over the stile and through to the next field. We then crossed Mill Lane, followed the path, walking alongside the River Leach. 

We then walked along to the Thames Path, crossed River Thames and walked along the tow path. We stopped for a refreshment break at St John’s Lock. 

Next we followed the path down to the St Lawrence’s Church, walked through the market square and down to Halfpenny bridge. We then followed the Thames path down to the Round House, walked through the ‘Seven Stiles’ (predominately converted to gates now), along Sherborne Street, through the playing fields and back to the car park. 

A flat, leisurely walk enjoyed by all.
