Just a small group of 2 members and one guest braved the rain on Wednesday morning. Starting near Westonbirt we took roads and tracks to Doughton, passing in-front of Highgrove and behind Doughton Manor, we headed towards Tetbury.

After crossing the main road we passed through woods and fields, over lovely stone stiles turning back toward Westonbirt. We enjoyed the lovely meadows full of buttercups and dandelions before walking along Longfurlong Lane, passing behind Highgrove House.

The rest of the way was across more meadowland with views of Charlton Down House and Westonbirt Arboretum in the distance. We returned to the start a bit wet but having enjoyed a pleasant easy going walk.
