On today’s walk at Cleeve Hill (aka Cleeve Cloud) there were 10 of us on the walk, the first thing was to get up on the hill, the views were worth the climb looking over Southam, Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham and the racecourse and also beyond, at one point you could see the Severn Bridge. There were plenty of golfers on the course, which has been there since 1891. When we got to the highest point which is 1080 feet above sea level we took a short break. From there we followed the tracks which turned out to be slightly extended, (I do apologise to all on the walk)....Eventually we made our way to Belas Knap (Long Barrow) the Neolithic burial ground where we had lunch. After lunch we carried on across the fields, sighting our first lambs this year, and down through the woods and worked our way to the Postlip community, then from there back onto Cleeve Hill common....
