On Thursday 23rd November, 9 members and 1 guest set off from Avening, up Steps Lane  and through the Gatcombe Estate on a surprisingly sunny day with fabulous views; a welcome bonus after all the recent rain.

We then walked across Minchinhampton Golf Course, stopped for coffee, and continued past Nags Head to follow a track through Nags Head woods. At the top we crossed several fields to emerge on Star Lane which we followed back into Avening.

After the walk we indulged ourselves with the superb "2 in 1" pies at the Weighbridge Inn.
