Fourteen intrepid ramblers set out from the Greyhound in Siddington for a short walk to the outskirts of South Cerney. The first part was along a permissive path on the old railway line passing a new solar farm.

At a kissing gate after passing the river Churn we walked through the meadows, although at first there was some confusion as to which path we should be on, we eventually got back on to the canal towpath. We were pleased to get back to the pub as the weather was drizzly and damp. At the pub 34 of us sat down to an excellent Christmas lunch.
