A group of 19 Ramblers set off from the village hall at Ampney Crucis, for a five-mile circular walk. The weather was blustery and damp which meant there were plenty of puddles underfoot.

They went up across some sodden fields to visit a friendly herd of alpacas, before emerging onto School Lane, and on to the Beech Tree in the centre of the village. From here they went up Allotment Lane and turned along a track towards Hilcot End. Next, they followed the lanes to Ampney St Mary- where a drinks break was taken on the village green. Taking a muddy path towards Ampney St Peter, they circumvented the horse paddocks using a nice dry path. They visited the picturesque village, with its gold painted post box, after entering the main street from the Northeast. Using more muddy paths and the lane they returned to the start at Ampney Crucis for a Lunch and AGM in the Village Hall.
