Twelve members met in Miserden on a gorgeous crisp, clear, sunny morning. We walked from the village towards Sudgrove and down through fields into Misarden Park.
Although too early for autumn colours, we enjoyed stunning views of the parkland and Misarden House.
We reached the lake at the bottom of the hill then climbed up a steep wooded track to reach the drive. We rested on large tree trunks before continuing along the drive and out of the park gate
The group then followed lanes and tracks into and around Winstone to reach the Norman church for our lunch stop.
Then we followed a different route through fields back into the park, and retraced our steps down the steep hill and up the other side, back to the village.
