Fifteen ramblers set off from the Toorak Hotel, Torquay to catch the bus to Brixham. We commenced our walk by heading off through Higher Brixham to reach the coast path. We were then treated to beautiful open ground and clifftop views to reach Sharkham Point, where we stopped to admire the view and take photos.
After completing emergency boot repairs to a parted sole, we continued enjoying our cliff top walk in spite of rain showers, past St Mary’s Bay towards Berry Head, in fact the sky was quite spectacular.
We gratefully sat down in the Guard House cafe to enjoy a lovely lunch whilst the heavens opened. Afterwards, owing to the rain, only a few brave souls walked out to the point. Having regrouped we headed back down into Brixham to enjoy the town before heading back to Torquay.
