On Tuesday 27th September, starting off from Meadfoot Beach in Torquay, 19 members and friends set off on the first walk of the holiday on a very pleasant morning.  Heading first up quite a steep incline to Kents Cavern they headed towards the coast above the beautiful Anstey's Cove.  They walked up to enjoy the views from Walls Hill before dropping down to the coast for a welcome lunch break in the sunshine at Oddicombe Beach.

Unfortunately, the cliff railway wasn't open, so they took to the winding road up to Babbacombe before heading back towards the coast path above Anstey's Cove.  They enjoyed the undulating wooded Bishop's Walk along the coast and followed the coast path and road back to Meadfoot Beach where they were treated to Birthday cake.  They all enjoyed lovely views of Hope's Nose and Thatcher Rock on the last part of this 7 mile walk.
