On Sunday 28th August, under a sunny bank holiday weekend sky, 20 members set off for a 6 mile circular ‘home’ walk from the Waterloo car park following the Cirencester Ramblers ‘Walks around Cirencester’ (Walk 2: Baunton and Ragged Hedge Wood.)
This was a lovely walk so close to Cirencester, and very quickly we were walking through a mixture of open fields with country side vistas, lovely woods and diving through hedges and over stiles. Some of us enjoyed the blackberries as we passed.
Towards the end of the walk we had a lovely view of Cirencester Parish church tower and walked past a very uneven cricket pitch!
