Starting from The Crown at Frampton Mansell on Wednesday 17th August, five members and one guest started a four mile walk, along roads and tracks through newly cut corn fields, with open views across the valley to Chalford Hill and France Lynch; and to Aston Down in the other direction.
After a short break they then cut downhill through Cowcombe Woods with its myriad of tracks. Coming out at the bottom of Cowcombe Hill they turned for home along the Thames and Severn Canal, enjoying the lovely woods and lake along the way. Heading uphill across the railway line we returned to the start for an enjoyable lunch with friends.
