On 7th August, sunny with temperatures reaching 26C, 20 members started from the Tetbury Goods Shed and crossed the B4014 Newnton Rd onto the footpath leading to the Estcourt Estate, which is now owned by a Saudi Arabian prince and run as a stud farm.

 The route took us through the estate's well maintained open pastures, enclosures and paddocks before entering a woodland approach to the church of St John the Baptist at Shipton Moyne. Here lunch was taken in the shade of the trees in the cemetery.

The walk continued on the footpath to the side of The Cat and Custard Pot Inn, and then onto a mile long bridle path that offered shade along its entire length. A short walk on a country road led to the footpath that brought us to the Bath Road, A433, a mile outside Tetbury. Crossing the road, the footpath continued through hedge enclosed fields to the outskirts of the town.

The walk continued up through town to the church of St. Mary the Virgin and thence to our starting point, The Tetbury Goods Shed.
