On Wednesday 27th July, a pleasant morning, 12 members and 1 guest headed from the Daneway along the Wysis Way to the mouth of the Sapperton Tunnel on the Thames and Severn Canal at the beginning of a four mile walk.
After leaving the course of the canal, they walked through diverse woodland taking a gently rising path before coming out on the road to Frampton Mansell.
Stopping in the village for a welcome break, they had a chance to admire the view across the valley and the local church. They then circled round and under the impressive railway viaduct, before re-joining the Wysis and Thames and Severn Ways.
Following the canal and river back to the Daneway they passed the remains of quite a few impressively deep locks on the way.
