On Sunday 24th April 26 members and one guest set off on the 5 mile Bluebell Walk from Chipping Campden.

From the “Walkers” carpark we set off across fields then up Dyer’s Lane to reach the view point at the top of Dover’s Hill.

This is the site of the Robert Dover’s Cotswold Olimpick Games, famous for the sport of shin kicking.

The descent to Weston-sub-Edge took us across fields and along tracks to the 13th Century church and site of the old manor house/castle where we had our refreshment stop.

Refreshed we made our way around fields to The Lynches Wood where we were treated to a splendid display of Bluebells in full bloom. From the wood lay a steep climb back to the top of Dover’s Hill where we joined the Cotswold Way and the descent back to the carpark.
