Cirencester Ramblers

A group of 17 members (2 from another group) met in Avening and set off up Steps Lane through the Gatcombe Estate, enjoying lovely views.

We continued through fields and across Minchinhampton golf course, after which we paused for a coffee break with a view of the valley...and a shower of rain!  We descended steeply to the lane, crossing an unusual historical stile.

We entered a track through Nags Head woods, turned right at the top to cross through fields and eventually onto a lane downhill, enjoying views of the village, back into Avening.

We stop to admire the view from Steps Lane
