On 20th March, 18 members and one guest set off  on a 4.7 mile walk from Worth Matravers (which is 4 miles from Swanage)

From the village we made our way to the Priest’s Way where a short detour took us to some fossilised dinosour footprints made a millon years ago. We continued on the Priest’s Way with excellent inland views of the downs and Swanage.

After a brief stop at Spyway Barn, with its information boards we headed towards the sea and made the steep descent from Spyway Hill to the South West Coast Path at Dancing Ledge.

We stopped above Dancing Ledge for a coffee break then continued along the SWCP to Seacombe Bottom. We made our way along Seacombe Bottom with a final short steep climb before reaching some easy walking into Worth Matravers and a drink at the Square and Compass.
