On Mothering Sunday 27 March, an enjoyable walk took place from the section of Ermin Street (Roman Road Silchester, North Hampshire - Gloucester) beside the old Five Mile House Pub.
We took mainly public access tracks and quiet lanes to enjoy villages of Woodmancote, Duntisbourne Leer and Duntisbourne Abbots.
As we walked slowly up the hills we saw many welcome signs of spring !,
On Burcombe Lane at the bottom of Halfpenny Hill team building enabled the group to all successfully cross a particularly wet, muddy section.
The delightful ford thankfully washed our boots a little and the playground, and churchyard a chance to enjoy, talk, and picnic.
Thankyou to all who joined me ….Susan .
