On Sunday 10th October 23 members and 2 guests met at the National Trust Ewe Pen Park car park in Sherborne on a perfect October morning.
We walked through farmland and into woods and then emerged in the village of Sherborne. A pleasant stroll took us past beautifully kept properties and to more farmland with cattle and sheep.
After a brief pause to rest and rehydrate whilst sitting on a fallen tree, we wandered through the meadows and more woodland and then reached the edge of the Deer Park.
Before descending to the bottom of the valley, we found another fallen tree on which we all perched to eat our lunch. This made us ready to walk back up through the woods to the starting point.
