On Wednesday 6th October to celebrate Coralie Dustin’s 90th Birthday (on 10th October) 22 family and friends (including her daughter Sue, granddaughter Laura, and great granddaughter Florence) set off on a leisurely, short walk from the Cotswold Gateway Centre.
The walk followed the Thames & Severn Canal to Wildmoorway Lane, which took us to the South Cerney Sailing Club. Here we stopped for a hot drink before crossing the Spine Road and following the River Churn, which runs between Churn Pool and Lake No. 6.
We completed the walk around Lake No. 6 back to the Gateway Centre.
After the walk 19 of us retired to The Old Boathouse for lunch. At the lunch Coralie was presented with her Birthday Card signed by over 40 of her Rambler friends, flowers and a gift of the Burlington Tile cushion kit (designed by the Victoria and Albert Museum); plus garden vouchers for her garden and allotment.
