Eleven members undertook a 5½ mile walk from Sharkham Point to Berry Head.

From the car park at Sharkham Point we made our way down through Higher Brixham just as it began to rain heavily. Once the brief shower had passed the clouds cleared and we arrived at Brixham Harbour in bright sunshine. We made our way around the marina on the South West Coastal Path (SWCP) before ascending up to Berry Head.

At Berry Head we stopped to enjoy some cake at the Guardroom Café, which was part of the fortifications. Some of us went to see the “highest and shortest” lighthouse in the UK. With wide ranging views across Torbay we counted nine cruise ships moored up awaiting better times.

We continued on the SWCP path along the cliff top around St Mary’s Bay back to Sharkham Point
