Cirencester Ramblers

On an overcast and breezy day 13 group members started off on a 6 ½ mile walk from Churston Ferrier in Torbay.

The group followed the John Musgrove Heritage Trail towards the River Dart, along byways and field paths. Stopping on a path to enjoy the view of both the river, to the left and the sea to the right, we continued to a point looking down the River Dart to the sea. We then took paths skirting above Greenway (home of Agatha Christie in the last century) stopping for a break overlooking the river.

Walking along the river foreshore (luckily the tide was going out), we then head up through Galmpton village to Windy Corner before dropping down to sea level and the beach at Broadsands, Torbay for a second break/ice cream stop.

The last part of the walk was along the South West Coast Path with sea views before turning inland to the start point and back to the Hotel for a cream tea
