We had a total of 13 walkers on the day and were fortunate to have great weather. The route took us initially to the viewing point at Haresfield Beacon which provided clear panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and Severn bridge in the distance.

After a brief stop at the trig point we dropped down to a section of the Cotswold Way before a coffee break at the monument marking the end of the Siege of Gloucester in 1645.

Following a steep incline up to the road we crossed a large field and made our way along a section of lane towards Randwick. Re-joining the Cotswold Way we stopped for a lunch break - socially distanced of course! - before walking through Standish Wood enjoying beautiful Autumnal colours. The walk finished with a steady climb back up to the NT carpark at Shortwood.
