it was perfect walking weather, not too cold and little wind with weak sunshine as eight Cirencester ramblers and one from North Cotswold enjoyed a four mile walk from Brio Retirement Village in Stow-on-the-Wold.
Crossing the Fosse Way we walked along a track with lovely views and through a short wood and then downhill to Netherswell Manor Farm Estate and then back along the main drive to the Fosse Way.
Crossing the road and after a short uphill climb we took the old road to Maugersbury. Half way we stopped for refreshments with excellent views of the surrounding countryside. On reaching Maugersbury we took a short loop round this pretty village before taking the track back up to Stow-on-the-Wold and through the Allotments and cemetery back to the start.
We then all enjoyed lunch at the on site Slate and Grain restaurant
