Six stalwart and hardy walkers braved the poor weather for our walk from Great Bedwyn, along the tow path beside the Kennet and Avon canal.

 We kept our spirits up waving at the passing trains on the London/West Country line, just like the railway children. We were even rewarded by a few passengers waving back.

 Lock 60 was a brief stop with a barge passing through the lock. Walking alongside Wilton water was rather muddy but was worth the trudge with the pretty village of Wilton, its picturesque pond, thatched cottages and curious emus.

 The Wilton windmill provided a little shelter for lunch after which the weather cleared for our return route via Bedwyn Brail back to Great Bedwyn.
