Eight Cirencester ramblers and one guest set off from Cold Aston on a very warm and sunny October day.
We walked through Beech Grove, a long and pleasant tree avenue and then fields to Notgrove village.
Climbing upwards there were spectacular views of the surrounding countryside where we had the first of two refreshment stops.
Preceeding along more fields we then reached the lovely village of Turkdean.
We then went up a very steep, uneven and difficult path known as Smugglers Walk (I expect it has some tales to tell) and had our second refreshment break at the church.
Then along a wide track back to Cold Aston.
