Nineteen members and 2 guests met at the bottom end of Frampton on Severn, parking on the road by beech hedges. It started a bright sunny morning and we walked almost the full length of the village with its many lovely old Tudor houses and barns, some dating back to about 1560, before taking a left down a Public Footpath and over a couple of stiles into a field with horses.

 Once past the horses the path took us onto the canal path, where we went right and then left, walking over Fretherne Swing Bridge. Then down the lane, until we could go through a kissing gate into yet another large field with horses.

 We carried on tracks until we came out at Saul Junction where we had our Coffee/ Lunch stop. The Swing Bridge opened and closed a couple or times to let boats through: then we all stood along the bridge for a group photo. (It started to rain a little).

 Soon carrying on to turn left and then right down the path to Whitminster Church.  Over a lane into fields which took us meandering through many and over a footbridge until we eventually came to a road, crossing the road into Frampton Court Grounds, which we walked through.

We passed a large lake on the left and Frampton Court Manor on the right until we found some large logs to sit on, where we had our tea stop and the sun came back out just in time, Coming out of the grounds and crossing a field  we came to the road. We crossed the road to walk under the Lynch gate down an avenue of trees to the church where we turned left and back to our cars. Everyone thanked me for a lovely walk which makes it all worth while.
