Cirencester Ramblers

On 19th July 12 ramblers set off from the Crown Inn, Frampton Mansell, on a warm dry day with stunning cloud formations and magnificent clear views. We followed the lane towards Sapperton for a short way before turning westward across fields above the village and beyond, with beautiful views towards Oakridge Lynch on the other side of the valley.

Just before reaching the A419 we turned right down a farm lane to Westley Farm with views of the Golden Valley towards Chalford.

After a coffee break we climbed up through some woods into fields once more, with views across to Frampton Mansell. We descended through the fields, going left at the bottom of the valley towards the canal and railway arches, then right handed up and around the village and back to The Crown where we enjoyed a drink and lunch.
