A group of 15 assembled at the long stay car park in Winchcombe before starting the route up to Belas Knap. A gradual ascent across fields and stiles provided spectacular views back to Winchcombe and Sudeley Castle.
A brief drinks stop was taken before the last, slightly steeper path up to the Long Barrow where they had lunch and time to explore the ancient burial mound.
Despite passing showers they made good progress descending along paths and lanes back to the centre of Winchcombe.
