Cirencester Ramblers

After heavy rain overnight it was a relief that the rain stopped for our walk and the sun even put in an appearance.

Starting from Upper Slaughter, eight of us enjoyed a six mile walk with spectacular views of the Windrush Valley. After continuing through the humps and bumps of the deserted village of Lower Harford and along the river Windrush, there was a steady climb through gorse and hawthorn after which they stopped for lunch.

Continuing through a wood with lovely views of the Eye Valley they descended into Lower Slaughter and through fields back to the start.
