On Wednesday 25th May, a drizzly, overcast morning a group of 15 members started off from Chavenage for a leisurely 4 mile circular walk.
We were pleased when the weather improved during the walk, finishing in the dry.
Walking along the wide verge we walked by a line of beautiful trees towards Cranmore Cottages. Passing Cranmore Covert we went through a field of sheep, who appeared to be shedding their fleeces, before dropping down to a lovely dry valley, which we followed to Longtree Bottom.
We followed a path through the woods returning to the start point where some of us enjoyed a light lunch in the Wild Carrot’s cosy tepee.
