Cirencester Ramblers

On Wednesday 9th March, eight members enjoyed an easy 5 mile walk from the Catherine Wheel pub in Bibury.  After making our way across fields we arrived in the lovely village of Ablington, which straddles the River Coln.

From the village we made our way up to Saltway Barn stopping briefly for refreshments and to admire the far ranging views. On reaching the barn we walked along the ancient Salt Way path before turning South to make our way past Hale Barn, now a house complete with designer duck pond.

We continued back to Bibury making our way through the old part of the village and past the famous Arlington Row to the pub and a well earned lunch.
