Cirencester Ramblers

On a lovely sunny day, 21 ramblers started a walk from the Goods Shed in Tetbury heading past the allotments on Herd Lane and into Preston Park. We then cut across to the footpaths out from Highfield Farm heading North East through gently rolling countryside to Star Farm for our first break.

#Taking a back road, where we enjoyed the snowdrops on the verges, we then followed paths and lovely flat pastureland. Wended our way toward the Trouble House we stopped for lunch near a wood where the bluebell leaves were appearing.
After crossing the main road by the Trouble House, we headed back to the Goods Shed along the disused railway line. An enjoyable 8 mile walk with lots of reminders that spring is on the way.

The railway line route was from Kemble to Tetbury and opened in 1889. The last train was in 1964
