On Thursday 24th June 15 members enjoyed a 4.5 mile warm evening walk from the Gateway Centre along the canal towpath to Cerney Wick, then along to Lake No. 9 (used by the Cotswold Sailing Club).
The walk continued to the disused railway and then turned towards South Cerney. A short drinks stop was taken at the bridge next to the Spine Road before continuing along the old railway between lakes.
Turning right the route went along Wildmoorway Lane and then following the River Churn back to the Spine Road and returning to the Gateway Centre.
A few hardy souls then had some refreshments at The Eliot Arms in South Cerney.
