On Wednesday 19th May 12 Ramblers set off in the sunshine from Tetbury Goods Shed for a five mile walk.
Heading out of town via Grange Lane and Longfurlong Lane, we climbed a stone stile before taking paths through a wood, and fields full of buttercups, before rejoining Longfurlong Lane.
We then cut across the fields to Hookhouse Lane, enjoying the view of a beautiful bluebell wood. Stopping for a quick refreshment stop, we were caught by the first shower of the morning.
We then headed back towards Tetbury along Hookhouse Lane. Cutting back across fields to the ford in Tetbury, we enjoyed lovely views of the town and the Parish Church with it’s impressive spire. We walked back through the town to the start, listening to the thunder in the distance, but luckily avoiding the worst of the rain.
