On Sunday 9th August fourteen members and one guest set off from Cold Aston on a leisurely 6.8 mile walk. There were plenty of ups and downs as we made our way through the rolling Cotswold countryside.

From Cold Aston we walked along the Macmillan Way to Turkdean on a stony farm track. After stopping for a coffee break at All Saints Church in the village we continued on a chalk track down into a picturesque valley, then on grass tracks past derelict barns to a “crossways” of paths, signposted to the nearby villages.

After another short break we reached Notgrove on the Gloucestershire Way, which took us all the way back to Cold Aston.

We made sure we had plenty of water stops, as it got hotter as the day went on.
