On Thursday 24th October, 17 members and one guest took the bus to Brixham and enjoyed a 5½ mile walk to Berry Head and back.

In light rain the group set off walking uphill through Upper Brixham. By the time we reached the SWCP near Sharkham Point the rain had stopped and soon the sun started to break through. We followed the SWCP around St Mary's Bay until we reached Berry Head and its Napoleonic Forts. We stopped at Berry Head for a hot drink and cake at the café; and the opportunity to look at the unusual lighthouse.

We then continued on the SWCP passing the lifeboat station and "artworks" as we reached the marina and fishing harbour of Brixham.
