Cirencester Ramblers

Twenty ramblers set off  from Sapperton and a wonderful carpet of wild garlic was enjoyed in Dovel Wood where they had a refreshment stop amongst the cowslips, in one of the quiet, secluded valleys of today's walk.

After seeing horses and hearing lambs in Far Oakridge, Marion  took 7 ramblers to complete the 6 mile circuit along the lanes of Oakridge and the Thames and Severn Canal back to Sapperton.

The others continued on to Waterlane to lunch in Bisley, where they learnt about the Well Dressings on Ascension Day.  The route continued on to Bournes Green, Oakridge, and then along the canal back to Sapperton to complete a 10 mile circuit on a pleasant Spring day.

"One of the best walks I've been on"....... ...... high praise indeed for today's walk .!!!!!
