The walk started from outside the Victoria Inn in Eastleach Turville where 13 members set off on a rather damp, then drizzly, morning, with rain later on. We headed west up the lane from the Victoria Inn to a T junction and went straight over, walking up through fields before turning right up to a wood called Coln Lane Ground. Reaching a lane, we turned right to reach a valley, then over a stream bridge onto a private metal track passing Sheepridge Farm on the hillside. Reaching the valley bottom we had a coffee stop.

The route continued through Smerill Plantation and a wood, then up to the top of the hill. Taking a right through a gate and round the field we eventually came out down at the bottom of the valley.

Walking along the by the stream we meandered through fields and woods back into Eastleach Martin, where all the daffodils were out, looking a beautiful, bright yellow on such a dull, damp day, and its two Churches opposite each other. (St Michael and St Martin’s, in Eastleach Martin and St Andrew’s in Eastleach Turville). We then walked up the hill back to our cars and the Victoria Inn at Eastleach Turville .
