Cirencester Ramblers

On the clock change morning of British Summertime….. 10 of us enjoyed the delights locally……of the history under our footsteps and around us of a Canal Terminal, Wharf House, Roman Roads, Roman Wall, Ice house , Gatehouse, War tank traps.

Out into the countryside of the Hare Bushes to Baunton we walked, to be delighted by seeing lambs, up Baunton Lane down School Hill. On entering Cirencester Park we heard the lovely sound of skylarks and luckily only experienced a light rain shower, we had choices of routes back into Cirencester but the group chose today the Queen Anne Monument route and Broad Drive, before returning to the Trinity Road car park.
