15 of us were on the Eastington walk today, we set of from Pike Lock and on to Dock Lock to see how the new build of the lock is going, much has been done, from there over to Churchend then back over to the fields around the top of Eastington to Alkerton, down the main road and on to the fields where we took a water break in the warm sunshine. From there we walked through several fields walking alongside the River Frome to Bridgend then onwards to Ryeford where we had lunch by the canal. After lunch we set off for the walk all the way back to Pike Lock along the towpath where there is much improvement to the canal.
