7 Ramblers including 2 visitors from the north, left Avening on a damp morning for a 4.5 mile walk.  We headed up a track onto the top of the hill, crossing fields to Grave Lane before returning to Avening via a lovely wild flower valley to Pond Covert and Avening Park. We headed along a quiet road before going past the church to the start.  We then all adjourned to the Weighbridge for a very convivial and welcome lunch.
