On a nice morning with sunny intervals, 12 members had a leisurely 4 mile walk. Starting from the centre of Winstone we headed down a lovely dry valley taking a path through fields to Duntisbourne Abbots. We enjoyed walking through this very pretty village and along the path by the long ford, which even now was quite deep in places. Stopping for a break at the far end of the village we said hallo to a friendly local cat who joined us for a group photo before turning along a quiet road running above the village. We then turned onto a track to join the Sapperton/Winstone road before heading across a couple of fields and back up past Winstone village hall to the start. Some of us then had lunch at the Highwayman Pub to finish off an enjoyable morning.
