On a beautiful sunny day, 14 walkers (including 3 new members to Cirencester group and 1 from Gloucester group) set off across Minchinhampton Common towards Theescombe, then wound our way down into the valley to reach Nailsworth.
We climbed the opposite hill on footpaths and fields to reach a long level stretch through fields with spectacular views across to the Gatcombe estate and Minchinhampton, where we stopped for lunch.
We then descended through fields to reach the road near Longfords Mill, went through the mill complex and continued uphill to the pretty village of Box and back across the common.
