On a bright and chilly morning, 12 Ramblers set off from the Brio retirement home in Stow-on-the-Wold for a 4.75 mile walk.

There were lovely views as we descended to the Netherswell Estate. Passing Hyde Mill and walking through the picturesque village of Lower Swell and then onto the Abbotswood Estate where we stopped for refreshments overlooking the lake.

Continuing along the Heart of England Way to return to Stow and a walk through the town, alleyways and allotments back to the retirement village where we all had an enjoyable lunch in the Slate and Grain at the Hub
