On Remembrance Sunday 10th November 19 members and 1 guest set off from the Old Station Yard car park, Malmesbury, on a 7½ mile walk. While the weather was fine the recent heavy rain meant it was wet and muddy underfoot resulting in changes to the original route.
From the car park we made our way past Abbey House Gardens and up Blick's Hill to Milbourne. We left Milbourne along a flooded lane and across very wet muddy fields to Crab Mill Farm where stopped for a coffee break and a moment of Remembrance.
We continued across fields to Lea and on through Firs and Maunditts Park Farms to Willow Bridge where we crossed the River Avon. Walking alongside the Avon we reached Cole Park and our lunch stop. Due extremely muddy fields we decided to make our way back to Malmesbury along lanes and roads.
