26 members left the hotel for a 6 mile walk on the Isle of Purbeck. After threading our way through a housing village we scaled the steep flank of Ballard Down stopping several times to admire the view over Swanage bay before descending to Studland, passing St Nicolas Church and onto the coast and a break at the beach cafe.

Returning to the hotel on The South West Coast Path we passed Fort Henry, Old Harry Rock and Ballard Point.
