Panoramic views and Woodland trails

A total of 17 members assembled at the NT car park at Haresfield Beacon on a warm and sunny late Spring day. The Beacon provided fine views over the Vale of Gloucester and beyond. Following the Cotswold Way, the group stopped for coffee at a monument commemorating the end of the Siege of Gloucester in 1643. The route took us across to the outskirts of the village of Randwick before entering Standish Wood for a lunch stop and then a long gradual climb back up to the Beacon car park.
