A Taste of the West Country – October 2021
Between 11th and 15th October 29 members and guests enjoyed a 4 night break at the Toorak Hotel, Torquay. On Tuesday morning 28 of group went on a challenging ramble along the coast near Coleton Fishacre. In the afternoon we were treated to a Devonshire Cream Tea in the hotel. Wednesday was a free day and some took advantage of the complimentary tickets to Torre Abbey next door. On Thursday morning 25 of the group went on a ramble from Sharkham Point to Brixham Harbour and Berry Head. In the afternoon we enjoyed tasting a selection of West Country cheeses and ciders at the hotel. Each evening the hotel provided entertainment in the form of a singer just for our group and a chance to dance!
