On Tuesday 9th October 24 members went on a 6 mile walk from the Toorak Hotel, Torquay. The group made its way down to the seafront and along to the harbour before taking Meadfoot Road and Lincombe Drive. With views of the coast far below, this was a very fashionable area to live with fine houses and villas from the Victorian era.
Having reached "Castle Torre" we took a footpath through the woods descending as far as Kents Cavern café for a coffee break. We continued to descend until we reached Meadfoot Beach where we joined the South West Coast Path.
We followed the SWCP with its many ups and downs, and fine views of the coastline back to Torquay Harbour for lunch and an afternoon Devonshire Cream Tea in the hotel.
