Cirencester Ramblers

September 5th Tetbury

On a lovely morning 8 members and 1 guest set off from the Tetbury Rail Yard car park for a 4½ mile walk on Wednesday 5th September. Walking past the new Goods Shed Arts Centre we took a route towards the Estcourt Estate and Shipton Moyne road. We walked through pastureland while the cattle were keeping a very wary eye on us!

After heading up the road we again turned off across the fields towards Doughton, with good views of the Manor House, before turning back to Tetbury with its church spire visible in the distance.

After crossing the Westonbirt road we headed once again across the fields, through a couple of wooded areas to Longfurlong Lane and Cottons Lane and through the centre of Tetbury back to the carpark ending up at the Royal Oak for a welcome meal/drink after a pleasant morning ramble.
